10 Tips to Make Group Coaching Count in 2010

Incredible!! I've been leading live and virtual groups for almost 30 years! (I can't believe I said that though I admit it is an absolute fact.)
Coaching groups is a very fulfilling experience and can be lucrative when you understand how to leverage your time and talent effectively.
Here are few tips to help your group coaching count in 2010:
- Use $5 words and understandable language to ensure your learners understand. Avoid the complicated coaching jargon. Even your clients who are coaches want simplicity and clarity.
- Master the irresistible closing offer to create lifelong client relationships. Think about the conversation you want to have with your clients that builds rapport and invites the client to do business with you. It's a whole other marketing lingo and easy when you know how.
- Nothing is personal! Understanding the truth of this point is the quickest way to ensuring you promote a spirit of caring and fairness every member of your group coaching program.
- Be the leader you want to see in your learners. Your job is to model a great learner, leader and guide. What kind of group coach do you say you are?
- Coach learners in your groups based on your passions. Anything else is artificial. That is all.
- A powerful question transcends traditional boundaries and expands the minds of your learners. Ask the open-ended question that challenges your learner to amazing answers.
- Begin your group coaching program with the info product in mind. It makes it easier for you to create an information product that rocks!
- Showcase the best of your content to transform your learners. Remember, group coaching is highly interactive. Think QUALITY vs. QUANTITY!
- Leverage the amazing power of social media to attract the right client to your group coaching program. I have lots of favorite social media sites. Why? Very simply, social media works!!
- Execution is simple when you understand it's simply a way to organize and create structure. KEWLIO, right?!
Get your group coaching in gear in the new year with these simple tips. I'd love for you to share your thoughts and tips that work for you.

The LIVE 33 Minute Mastery Program
In my last post, I talked about why I LOVE the 33 Minute Mastery program (aka Group Coaching in 33 Minutes). If I love it SO much (and I do), why am I making it the LAST LIVE program?

Here are just a few of the comments from two of my FAVE 33 Minute Mastery Grads:
"I was extremely impressed with the wealth of rich content and the level of interaction that we got in 33 minutes! In every single session, I was inspired to either add some component to my group coaching program or to improve or expand it in some way. Thank you so much, WendyY for Group Coaching in 33 Minutes."

Steve Ulrich
"Wendy Y puts incredible energy into this program. I loved her teaching, her interaction with other classmates, the connections she’s made, and the commitment she makes for her 'learners' to get what she’s teaching and then use it. Areas such as effective listening, communication modalities, social media, client attraction, knowing that I’m worth what I do and “I charge for that.” In 33 minutes, yes, you will get a lot out of this program and the audio sessions that Wendy Y provides as bonuses might actually be worth as much as the course. Thanks WendyY for a fantastic whirlwind experience, I thoroughly enjoyed it and working with you and with others in the class."
Join me for the next and last LIVE 33 Minute Mastery program! You'll be in the company of more than 100 coaching professionals, like Roxanne and Steve, ready to rock your business with group coaching. WOOHOO!
Enroll by Saturday, May 9th at 11:59 pm Eastern and you'll receive access to the Master the Irresistible Close to Get More Clients How kewl is that?!
Remember, the LAST LIVE 33 Minute Mastery program starts on Monday, May 11th at 12 Noon Eastern. Enroll TODAY, leave me a comment and join the journey. THANKS in advance.

Group Coaching Mastery in Review
Group Coaching Mastery, the blog for Group Mastery for Speakers, Trainers and Workshop Leaders, was launched July 13, 2008. I jumped into blogging with both feet with my love for writing in tow. I began writing more than ever. As a result, the blog has continued to evolve. We've moved from a free WordPress.com blog to a self-hosted platform using Semiologic.
By way of review, I'd like to share a few of my favorite blog posts. I have various reasons for selecting each of these posts - too many to really get into. I'm confident that you'll readily see and understand as you click and read through each post.

An Underutilized Strategy
Group hug, anyone?! Building rapport and connection is one of the most important yet underutilized strategies in group coaching. You cannot dismiss the power of a good connection, a solid handshake or a warm group hug. Unconsciously, each of your learners wants to know you relate to her perspective or shares her view of the world. There's just no mistaking the sense of synchronicity when she knows her perceptions are acknowledged and understood. It just feels good! Read the full post
Powerfully Persuasive Marketing Pumps Profits
Persuasive marketing involves emotions. Very simply, every word you speak or write has to touch deeply, genuinely inspire and intentionally motivate your audience to act. Ok, so maybe that's not so simple. :) I thought stirring emotions was pretty easy the first time I heard about persuasive marketing. I quickly learned the real value for business growth as well as for boosting profits. Read the full post

I've had fun watching the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Blogging and Group Coaching Work Hand In Hand
I read an amazing post about blogging by new media expert and well-known blogger, Chris Brogan. I've been actively blogging less than a year so I'm kinda new to blogging. The post made me think about how blogging can be leveraged as a key element of bringing your group coaching program to life.
