Keep Your Customers Around Through Checkout

Shopping Cart AbandonmentDo you think about the fact that if your customers didn't abandon their shopping cart on your site how much money you “could' be earning? It is definitely something to consider as well as something you should spend some time attempting to remedy.

This phenomenon is called shopping cart abandonment and is basically the act of a shopper placing a product or service into your website's shopping cart but abandoning it before actually completing the purchase, for whatever reason.

There are many reasons for the frequent “shopping cart abandonment” that takes place across the Internet every single day, but the good news is there are just as many ways that you can keep it from happening to you and your coaching business as well.

Here are some things that you can do to help keep your customers at your site make their way right through checkout as a successful purchase and sale for you!

  • Include pictures.  A thumbnail works best and if possible include a short description. As a coach, you may not always have a photo of a book or tangible item, however, it is always a good idea to remind them of the value behind the product. A picture also helps to reassure the customer that they indeed ordering what they are setting out to order.
  • Show shipping and / or other costs. You want to reassure your customers of what they are paying. They don't like incurring any “hidden” costs, so you want to be upfront and open with the costs that they will pay including shipping, handling and any other necessary fees.
  • Reassure their security.  Potential customers / clients abandon shopping carts due to a feeling of insecurity and because they are worried about their information. Reassure them by including a security seal or guarantee of some type on the pages that they must land out throughout the checkout process.

Doing these simple things can help your customers to feel safe and secure as well as to be encouraged to continue on in the checkout process, resulting in more sales for you.

Why Does a Coach Need an Autoresponder?

email-broadcastsCoaches –do you need to automatically respond to inquiries, sign ups and the like? Do you need to communicate with your clients and potential clients? Could you benefit from the ability to automate a marketing campaign? The answer is a resounding yes! Of course you need to automatically respond, of course you need to communicate with them, of course you want to maximize your marketing efforts and having an autoresponder can allow you to do just that.  An autoresponder is a program that automatically responds to a filled in contact form, sign up box, or even simple email, automatically sending an email or a series of emails, in the case of a marketing campaign, to a client or potential client.

The autoresponder does the work that you would normally do by automatically sending a response via email using a program that you set up a head of time to send off the information that you input into it. The message or messages you create can be sent via the specific terms you set up, from the moment after the client inputs their information to days or weeks later.

After all, as a coach you want to be prompt with responding to your clients and potential clients so that they know just how important to you they are. We've all experienced the scenario of filling out a contact form or sending an email and not receiving a response for hours or even days. This can be disheartening to a potential or current client causing them to loose confidence in you as a coach. With an autoresponder in place you will not have to worry about being available and at your computer all day everyday, but you can still be prompt with your response to your clients and potential clients allowing their confidence in you to remain and to even grow.

The email response they initially receive may be generic in form, but it will help them to know what they can expect from that point forward and can even help you as a coach to collect additional information from them or to share additional information with them.

As a coach you may very well need to collect a survey or application form them if they are seeking a free consultation or even an additional consult, an autoresponder has the ability to automatically send them the survey or form that they must fill out to move forward.

In addition to this, you can use the autoresponder in marketing campaigns that you create such as e courses or free reports that are delivered automatically upon sign up via the autoresponder. This is a great way to transform your promotional efforts while saving you time, but still allowing you to be effective.

Autoresponders can truly enhance your business allowing you to market to, locate and impress your clients taking your business to new levels.

Is a Shopping Cart Necessary for Coaches?

Shopping Cart PurchaseBefore the question of a shopping cart is answered it is important to define a shopping cart for better understanding. A shopping cart is something a consumer uses to purchase items. As in the offline world, one uses a shopping cart to gather their finds before checking out; the online world uses the same system. Imagine visiting a site that has a product that moves you to the point of purchasing, only to find out that you are unable to because the provider has neglected the most important part of the site other than products, the shopping cart.

Now, to answer the question if a shopping cart is necessary, the answer is a resounding yes. Any individual that has an online shop that promotes products or perhaps a coach that promotes services, or other tangible products, a shopping cart is completely necessary. Sure, the consumer may purchase your service by means of calling but the best way is to implement a shopping cart system. As a coach you may not have the time to answer every call to accept an order or purchase and the cart solves this issue. The cart can be programmed to accept credit cards or PayPal or other system with your products, services along with descriptions and fees that may be required.

An automated shopping cart makes it possible to purchase your product or coaching service any time of the day. With the online world, your site is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and although you may not be available every hour of every day, the shopping cart will be. It makes complete sense to implement a shopping cart system to your program for ease of collecting funds as well as for the ease of the consumer.

There are different shopping cart systems available depending on the services and products you may be offering. Find the one that works best for you and implement the system onto your site today.
