Give Group Coaching A Creative Kick
People ask me why I chose 33 minutes for my newest group coaching program. It's such a funny story that I decided to share it in this post. My hope is that you'll learn from my experience and push the bounds of creativity in marketing your group coaching programs, too.
When I began developing Group Coaching in 33 Minutes, I envisioned a program with short, intense bursts of group coaching resources and information. It started out with five-30 minute sessions. The content just kept growing! I didn't want to leave much out. I didn't have to once I stretched the program to SEVEN sessions.
Group Coaching in 33 Minutes:
- Showcases juicy parts of the larger program in a totally new way.
- Lays a strong foundation for building on group coaching whether you're a newbie or experienced learner.
- Promotes social networking strategies that ensure full groups.
- Teaches sensory learning and language that kicks your marketing way up.
- Reveals my favorite group coaching tools and technology.
As I started to develop the video, I got really excited. I thought, "I should go buy a domain for this!" (Secret: I have more than 60 domains. :D Ideas are always flowing.) The domain for 30 minutes wasn't available and I had to take a creative jump. I decided on www.33MinuteMastery.com because it was catchy, marketable and gave me lots of room for fun. I ended up using the Group Mastery website in the video after it was all said and done. Still, I gained a few very kewl insights from the creative journey.
I absolutely love this program and so do my learners! The results have been truly AMAZING! Group Coaching in 33 Minutes is an absolute favorite for newly certified coaches, speakers who coach and trainers who want two-way communication with their groups.
What you can learn from my creative venture:
- Open your mind to new possibilities. Intentional creativity leaves lots of room for something new and different. In my case, it turned out well. I'm sure you'll have a similar experience.
- Approach creativity confidently. I know my community of learners very well so I was clear how to stretch in just the right areas. You'll challenge yourself to higher levels of confidence when you stretch.
- Embrace creativity with your whole heart. Coaching is truly "heart" business! Listen and follow your heart then you can be powerfully creative in your group coaching programs.
The truth is: Group coaching challenges you to be very creative. Give Your Marketing A Creative Kick is a podclass I created from a teleseminar that I hope will help you give your group coaching a creative kick. Enjoy!
I invite you to share your favorite ways to get your creative juices flowing. How does this creativity support you in your group coaching programs?

My group session will be unique because I am a book fanatic, a writer myself, and a book marketing consultant. I've worked on all three sides of this thing so when I coach my client I will know their needs(the enormous task of becoming published and the scary realization that you now have to sell the book lol,) will work hard at helping them meet their vision for their authorship, then help them big successful action plans to befriend and champion their readers.
My creative juices flow even more when I hearing the ideas and perspective of other like minded people. I love to take in others views and ideas for growth.
I have a weekly mastermind meeting with a respected colleague. During those meetings we have helped each other so much by brainstorming, sharing ideas and asking the tough questions - even when the other person doesn't want to hear it. It's a great place to come up with new ideas or to make adjustments to ideas that are diamonds in the rough.
Love how you laid of the benefits of the program and added the sizzle! Oddly enough, to get my creative juices flowing, I have to schedule a time for just me & focus on what it is I am seeking. If I don't schedule it, it doesn't happen because I am busy taking care of the other to-do's. You post is a great example of being open to where one's creativity goes. Thanks for sharing.
My approach to group coaching will be through my 21 days of motivation virtual workshop. Through the workshop learners will be introduced to the 6 essential skill sets that will have the learners experiencing significant mindshifts. At the core of the workshop is the learners understanding and embracing the relationship between their creative impulses and keeping their motivation quotient high.
I'm enjoying the 33 minutes so far. I appreciate your patience WendyY and your upbeat attitude!
I know that I am my most creative when I am out walking in the fresh air or distracted doing something other than sitting at my computer (tonight I got a great idea while getting my daughter ready for bed - I ran out and wrote it down in my notebook). My trouble is capturing the ideas. Your 33 minute story is great - so simple once you got over the fact that the 30 minute url was not available. 33 minute is much more memorable and makes people wonder about its origin.
I love the model - the power and simplicity of focusing on 1 ideal client and working from there, knowing the benefits and then developing the "sizzle" for the delivery of the learning. By focusing effectively on 1 ideal client it can't help but resonate with them in a powerful way. Takes the pressure off having to think of something that suits everyone.
My best creative ideas come when I least expect, usually while I'm in the shower or driving but also during discussions or brainstorming sessions. After many years of thinking I wasn't creative, I finally surrendered to following my nature flow of thought, energy, etc, instead of trying to control it. This creativity supports me in understanding that although I may have a planned outline/script for my group coaching program, I need to get more comfortable with letting go (of the safety net) and come from the heart.
Creativity for me often happens when I'm doing something else. I've always said my best "think tank" is the shower because I always jump out eager to write ideas down.
Like you WendyY, I have plenty of domains from all the ideas that just flow and flow, waiting for me to flesh them all out and mold them into new shapes and forms.
In the meantime, I'll focus my creativity on ONE ideal client, get the tons of audio transcribe, and keep moving forward.
Oh WendyY.
My name is Shannon Cherry - and I am a domain addict too!
How do I get my creative juices going? By taking a shower! Really! It clears the clutter from my head (as well as the germs from my body).
And by the way, the video is awesome!
I posted this with your FB note but wanted our 33minute Mastery participants to also have access…
First of all I want to say I am having a blast learning wonderful tips in your 33 Minute Group Mastery.
You are a true inspiration to kick up my creativity, I am already looking at implementing some of what I have learned. I am looking at also creating a short ongoing group coaching sessions to bring greater understanding about the Purpose Methods I take my clients through.
Beside always reading and deepening my knowledge & expertise, my creativity comes mostly in my masterminding with my coaches, buddies and board of directors.
Then I take time alone to connect with my creative source, that is when all the ideas come flooding in…
Another place where I often download information and my creativity is jumping at me,at is in the shower… which is why ways I have a notebook and pen close by.
Once again thank you for sharing yourself and your resources so freely.
PS… I see I am not the only one who gets great information in the shower…LOL
